    Function inferenceProfileFoundationModelArns

    • Given a resolved system inference-profile ARN, returns the foundation-model ARN(s) that must ALSO be granted bedrock:InvokeModel* for the profile to work. Per the Bedrock inference-profile IAM docs, granting invoke on the profile ARN alone yields AccessDeniedException - the caller must also hold invoke on the underlying foundation model in each destination region.

The destination regions are not knowable from the id, so the region segment is wildcarded (a single * also matches the empty-region form used by global.* profiles). The model name is the profile id with its leading region prefix (us. / eu. / apac. / global. / us-gov.) stripped.

Returns [] for anything that is not a system inference-profile/ ARN. On-demand foundation-model and custom-model ARNs genuinely need no paired grant. An application-inference-profile/ ARN DOES need one, but its id is opaque so the underlying foundation model cannot be derived here - callers must handle that case explicitly rather than reading [] as "no paired grant required".

      Parameters

      • modelArn: string

      Returns string[]
